Dr. Babbar qualified at the University of Manchester in 1987 and has owned Weston Park Dental since 1992. After completing a postgraduate diploma, he became a member of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (UK). He studied implant dentistry at the Bicon Institute in Boston, Massachusetts, and is a registered Bicon Implant surgeon. Dr. Babbar utilizes Dentsply Ankylos Implants with CAD-CAM technology for superior aesthetic results. He also provides clear aligners, having undergone training at the IAS Academy.

Dr. J.S. Panesar

B.D.S. (London 1987), D.G.D.P. (UK)

Dr. Panesar graduated from King’s College Hospital, London, in 1987. He holds a postgraduate diploma in General Dental Practice and completed the Certificate in Restorative Dentistry at the UCH Eastman Dental Institute. Additionally, he has a certificate in Implant Dentistry and is a registered Bicon Implant surgeon. Dr. Panesar specializes in orthodontics using the Inman Aligner technique as well as clear aligners. He has been a valuable member of Weston Park Dental since 1992.

Dr. Kathy McCarney

B.D.S. (London 1996), MSc (London)

Dr. Kathy McCarney qualified in 1996 from the Royal London Hospital and later completed an MSc with distinction in Dental Implants. She has been an integral part of Weston Park Dental since 2001.

Dr. Sandie Grant

B.D.S. (Guy's 1977), L.D.S.R.C.S. (Eng)

Dr. Sandie Grant graduated from Guy's Hospital in 1977 and holds a Master's degree in the treatment of anxious and phobic patients. She has been with Weston Park Dental since 1989.

Dr. Madan Songra

B.D.S. (London 1989), D.G.D.P. (UK), M.G.D.S.R.C.S.

Dr. Songra qualified from The Royal London Hospital in 1989. He has earned a Diploma and a Master’s in General Dental Practice, recognized as the gold standard qualification in General Dental Surgery. He specializes in Implant Dentistry and orthodontics, utilizing the Six Month Smile and Inman Aligner techniques. Dr. Songra has been a part of Weston Park Dental since 1990.

Dr. Mette Soderstrom

D.D.S. (Sweden 2007)

Dr. Soderstrom qualified at Umeå University in Sweden in 2007. She has extensive experience working in private clinics across Sweden, Holland, and the UK, including an out-of-hours emergency clinic at Erasmus Hospital in Rotterdam. Currently, she divides her time between Weston Park Dental and a Harley Street clinic, providing a wide range of treatments, from restorative dentistry to implants and aligners.

Dr. Stuart Watkin

Dr. Stuart Watkin graduated in South Africa before relocating to the UK. He has over 27 years of experience in general dentistry across various locations in London and the Home Counties, providing care in both NHS and private practices. Known for his friendly and relaxed approach, Dr. Watkin excels at putting nervous patients at ease and is an active member of local dental forums.

Dr. Tia Babbar

B.D.S. (Hons) King's College London

Dr. Tia Babbar graduated with Honours from King’s College London. Since joining Weston Park Dental in 2023, she has been committed to providing a patient-centred approach that prioritises comfort, care, and the overall dental experience.
Passionate about advancing her expertise, Tia has completed numerous postgraduate courses, learning from some of the most respected clinicians in the field. With a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry, she has had training in clear aligners through the IAS Academy, where she honed her skills to deliver optimal results in smile transformation.
Tia’s combination of technical skill, a compassionate approach, and a dedication to continuous learning ensures that her patients receive the highest standard of care, tailored to their individual needs.

Dr. Ishtar Mahdi

BDS (NCL) MFDS (GLAS)

Dr. Mahdi graduated from Newcastle Dental School in 2011 with clinical merit and went on to complete a postgraduate diploma to become a Member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons, Glasgow in 2013. She brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to her work at Weston Park Dental. With experience in head and neck surgery, as well as all dental specialties, Dr. Mahdi spent the early years of her career working in dental and general hospitals before transitioning to general practice.

She has completed several postgraduate courses in cosmetic dentistry and has been a qualified Invisalign provider since 2018, delivering successful clear aligner treatments since. Passionate about aesthetic dentistry, Dr. Mahdi particularly enjoys smile design, composite bonding, clear aligners, crown work, and creating natural-looking white fillings. Her goal is to offer a calm and welcoming environment, where she can treat patients holistically using minimally invasive, aesthetic, and preventative approaches.

Outside of restorative dentistry she also has a special interest in the treatment of jaw joint disorders and dental sleep medicine. She can provide sleep studies to diagnose sleep apnoea and provides devices and treatment for jaw pain and sleep related breathing disorders.

Mr. R. D. Lee

Dip. Dental Hygiene (GUYS), EDH, DSA (RLH)

Mr. Lee qualified as a dental hygienist from Guy’s Dental Hospital in 1998 and has been a dedicated member of Weston Park Dental since 2000. He is passionate about preventive dentistry and specializes in treating nervous patients.
